A glitch in the universe

Try an experiment. Close your eyes for three seconds.

In that brief darkness, the familiar world disappears. Your room, the sky, the people you know, all retreat into an unmeasured space. You trust they still exist, of course, but you no longer witness them. And in that tiny gap between certainty and blindness lives one of the strangest ideas humanity has ever confronted: the possibility that the universe itself slips into a quantum haze whenever no one is observing it.

Physics tells us that at the smallest scale, reality behaves like a chameleon. It does not settle on a single form until someone, or something, forces it to choose. A particle can be here and there, moving and still, alive and dead. These are not poetic metaphors. They are lab results.

So what happens when you close your eyes? Your mind ceases its constant inspection of the world. The photons no longer collide with your retinas. The world outside becomes, in a sense, an unopened box. And according to quantum reasoning, anything in an unopened box might be in multiple states at once. Of course, the universe does not depend on your eyelids alone. Countless sensors, animals, cameras, and cosmic collisions keep the world observed. But the unsettling truth remains: the stability of reality is not guaranteed. It is a negotiation. A continuous handshake between matter and the beings who measure it.

Close your eyes more often during the day. Not to escape, but to reset the universe you carry inside your head. Let your thoughts scatter into possibility. Let your anxieties lose their shape for a moment. Let your mind release its grip on what it thinks the world must be.

Each time you open your eyes again, you enter a new version of reality.
